hi, I am tasha the owner and creator of oak+stone co. 

I work from my home in dauphin, manitoba, where I make soy candles, soap, skincare products and where I sew all things. everything I make is inspired by my love of natural ingredients, traditional home remedies and curated design. 

I moved from british columbia to spend life with the man who stole my heart and together we raise our four beautiful children.

I always knew that I needed and wanted to stay home with our children, and that it was time to say goodbye to my background in health care. I craved for a creative outlet that I could do at the comfort and convenience of home.. I have learned and loved several different hobbies in my short 32 years, including hiking, painting, refinishing furniture, gardening and landscaping, baking bread and all things food, before discovering sewing, candle and soap making in 2021. I have always loved the concept of using only natural ingredients like oils, butters, botanicals and clays to make clean, quality and sustainable skincare.

I believe in using the best, pure, simplest ingredients for my home, our bodies and my family. I have a minimalist approach to my products, to use no harmful chemicals or toxins and use more skin loving, nourishing, pure and simple ingredients.

when I'm not busy making, you can find me doing laundry (hehe), cooking up a storm, enjoying my garden, and loving up on my babies.
